Functional Lab Testing

As a certified functional nutritional therapy practitioner and Level-3 certified Restorative Wellness Practitioner, I have extensive training and experience in ordering and interpreting a range of functional lab tests to help identify underlying health issues and support personalized root cause action plans.

As a functional nutritionist, I cannot diagnose or treat any diseases. My role is to help you identify imbalances, approach things from a root cause perspective, and I refer out, as needed, for medical support.

Some of the tests you'll have access to include:

  • GIMAP DNA Stool Test: This test analyzes your gut microbiome to help identify imbalances that may be contributing to digestive issues, inflammation, and other health problems.

  • Comprehensive Blood Chemistry Panel: This panel includes a wide range of tests to assess the health of your major organs and systems, including your liver, kidneys, thyroid, and immune system. This comprehensive lab work includes standard tests like a comprehensive metabolic panel, complete blood count with differential, FULL thyroid panel, lipid panels, vitamin D, iron panel, plus more comprehensive markers including fasting insulin, C-Reactive Protein markers, Apolipoprotein assessment and more.

  • Salivary and Urinary Hormone and Cortisol Testing (including DUTCH): These tests measure your hormone and cortisol levels to help identify imbalances that may be contributing to issues such as fatigue, mood swings, and reproductive problems.

  • HTMA Test (Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis Test): This test measures levels of minerals in your body to identify nutrient deficiencies, the level of stress your body is under, the state of your metabolism, and other health issues.

  • MRT Food Sensitivity Test: This test measures your body's immune response to specific foods, helping to identify potential triggers for symptoms such as headaches, bloating, and fatigue.

From there, we'll work together to establish personalized macro and calorie targets that support your specific health goals. With weekly accountability check-ins and regular feedback on your food journals, we'll track your progress and make adjustments to your macro targets as needed to help you achieve your goals, whatever they may be. You'll also receive a nutritional periodization master plan to guide you in reaching your optimal health and wellness. With this package, you'll learn how to optimize your nutrient intake and fuel your body in a way that supports your goals and lifestyle. Macro tracking isn’t for everyone, but for those with whom it aligns, it can be a beneficial tool.

  • Hormone Healing Package

    If you suspect that reproductive hormonal imbalances or metabolism issues are affecting your vitality and preventing you from achieving your health goals, our Hormone Healing Package might be just what you need.
